The Drama department will present “Nursery Crimes”, a short spoof comedy tonight May 9th, 7:00pm in the Commons.  The play will be presented again on the 10th and 11th. 

 

Attention Baseball Players:

 

Baseball players need to clean their stuff out of the dungeon.

 

Also, if you have not turned in a uniform, you need to turn it in to Mr. Wheeler immediately or you will be fined.

 

With Prom fast approaching make sure you have all your overdue library books turned in, all your fines/fees paid, and Spartan service completed in order to be eligible to attend the dance.

 

The Forks Alternative School will be having a hanging basket and plant sale Thursday and Friday at the greenhouse.  10am – 2pm at Bank of America on Saturday, May 10th.  To set up an appointment call Patty Vaughan at 374-6262, 123 or email Vaughan@esd114.wednet.edu.

 

2006/2007 (last years) Year Books are now on sale in the office for half price, $22.50.

Juniors: Letters of intent for culminating projects are due May 12th.  After getting your letter approved by your advisor, submit a signed copy to the counseling center. Don’t wait till the last minute on this one.  Be creative in meeting the needs of the communities we live in, and remember that your project must align with your future career plans and be service learning.

 

Advisors: Meet with your juniors to help them come up with a great project that aligns to their future plans and qualifies as service learning with an emphasis on learning.  Letters are due to the counseling center before or on May 12th.  If you have any questions, approach a member of the committee, we will be happy to help. Prom is May 17th, 8:00pm – 12:00am, at the RAC.

 

There will be a Spring Music Concert in the Commons, May 27th at 7:00pm.

 

Honors Night will be May 29th at 7:00pm in the Commons.

 

Sandy Heinrich, Family Support Advocate has some prom dresses and shoes in her office to lend.  Contact her at ext. 256 or drop by her office in the ILC.

 

Students become a member of the Foreign Language Club.  We will be traveling to England, France and Spain in April, 2009.  See Mrs. Lincoln for more details.

 

Open Gym:  Tues. and Thurs., 6:00pm - 8:00pm.  The weight room will be open Monday through Thursday from 6:30am - 7:30am for any interested in some spring conditioning. 

 

Library News:

 

All overdue books are due.  An “overdue” booklist will be run off on Monday.  Please return your book before the list is run.

 

Last day to check out books will be May 19th.  All books and library fees will be due for seniors May 23rd.  (Monday is a holiday; Tues. grace day and Wed. Senior trip).  Grades 9-11 will be due May 30th.  An over-due booklist will be posted and updated often.  All copies of the list will be posted to teachers via email.

 

The Library will be closed on June 9th for inventory. 

 

Career Month is what’s happening in the library this month.  Have you stopped by the library to check out all the choices of careers and colleges that is out there waiting for you?  Stop by the library or the counseling area for more details on a specific college of choice.  Start early when planning your future.  We also have SAT and ACT books in the library.  Check them out and practice for your upcoming tests.

Senior pictures must be turned in by 1st period on the 19th to Ms. Schwartz.   If you do not turn in a picture your yearbook picture will be used, no exceptions.
