When you click on the FTP
site, you may come up with a File Not Found error.
First-- do try clicking the
refresh button circled in yellow.
Second-- if that doesn't work
remove the slash (/), circled in red
at the end of the IP address, erase the slash after the 24 (Backspace
will do it.) and try again. This time the site should open, you
will be prompted for your login and password.
Here's the site. ftp://69.56.123.24
IF you Experience Problems, Try The
Following to Troubleshoot:
You will be
prompted for your login and password. You may then have access
to your Wolverine folder. If you are running some versions of Internet
Explorer, you may have trouble. If so, type in the address bar
ftp//69.56.123.24
and make sure there is no backslash at the end of the url,
OR
ftp//loginname@69.56.123.24
Your login name should
be lastname, first initial, or whatever your login is. You'll be prompted
for your password, and it should display familiar information.
If that doesn't work,
then try
ftp//loginnamepassword@69.56.123.24
This is the least
secure method, but it works. You can bookmark the connection.
Leave all the windows
open while you're working. To open documents in your folder, right click
the document you wish to work on, and save it to your desktop
(or some known file structure). You cannot work directly in the folder
on Wolverine. All work needs to be done at the computer use to access
the folder. When you're finished and wish to save it again to your hsstudent
backup folder, click and drag it to your hsstudent backup folder window.
