Welcome to the FHS Culminating Senior Project. This is your chance to prove to the entire school, community and yourself that you know something and can do something – that you know how to learn! The Culminating Project has been developed to showcase and celebrate the completion of your public education. Through this experience, you will demonstrate your ability to gather and use information, communicate effectively, think analytically, work independently and assess your own progress as you complete a project in an area of particular interest to you. Many students use the Culminating Project experience to explore a career interest as well as perform a service for the community.

Employers tell educators that students need job skills such as meeting deadlines, working independently, communicating effectively, gathering and assessing information and solving problems. The Senior Culminating Project allows you to create your own “real world” experience while demonstrating that you possess the skills that are necessary in today’s workplace. It is also an opportunity for you to celebrate your learning by exhibiting your particular talents and abilities in a project of your own choosing.

Local community members as well as educators from across Washington State and throughout the country are amazed by the project work being done by students. We hope that you will also feel as proud of your accomplishments in the Senior Culminating Project.
