3) Forging- use handouts in file cabinet. If you have questions you can refer to “Metalwork Technology and Practice” page 283.
a) Read handout chapter 44 and answer questions 1-10. Read chapter 446and answer questions 1-50 odd.
b) You will then forge a chisel and harden it using “Casinite” and you will then forge a center punch using the same procedure above to produce a hard tip.
c) Materials needed: Two pieces of 6” x 5/8” hex stock.
