Rat Trap Spring Powered Vehicle

This car was designed and built by me while I was taking Industrial Design in college. The body is made of filament wound carbon fiber and epoxy and the rest of the car was made using various materials including plastic, aluminum and structural foam. The finished car traveled down a 50 ft. course in 1.65 seconds.
