Description of the Program

The Quillayute Valley School District has developed the Home School Plus Program to assist the growing home school population. This program has serviced the community for 10 years now. It is designed to combine the best aspects of learning at home with what the public school can provide to assist learning. Home School Plus recognizes parents as the primary teachers. Our goal here at Home School Plus is to support the parent in their choice at education of their children. This support comes in the form of counseling, curriculum, testing and tutoring. Students have a one-hour appointment time with their teacher/counselor. At each appointment, the teacher records the hours that the student studies at home, documents progress, grades the work or provides the answer key for the parent to grade the work, tutors the student if needed, and gives the tests for each subject.

Home School Plus is located in the Independent Learning Center on Spartan Avenue. We are located in Room 35.
